Sadie Amara Calvano, an American actress who is best known for playing Violet Plunkett on the CBS sitcom "Mom", has gained lots of attention. Calvano born in California initially was interested in competing gymnastics. However, she later decided to pursue an acting career. She debuted on the screen in 2010, in the episode of CBS's NCIS. In the biographical crime drama movie J Edgar, she made her first appearance in front of the camera a just a few months later. She became one of the best young actors to be seen over the next few decades. For her performance in 'NCIS', she received a nomination for the Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a TV Series with a Guest Actor Actress 11-15 years old in the year 2011. In 2013, in recognition of the role of a guest on Disney XD's "Kickin' It Comedy Series She was also nominated for the Young Artist Award. Calvano was part of the cast of Mom throughout its first three years and appeared on several occasions in the fourth. Her outing in 'Mom' was recognized with the Gracie Allen Award for Outstanding Female Actor - Rising Star in 2015.
